Seven Packs Of Topps 2012 Series On Baseball Cards And One Pack Of 2013 Series One I'm Giving Away
I was going through the cardboard box that I keep my packs in before I list them on this blog and I realized that I still have some of the baseball packs that I bought in the bargain bin at walmart. I only paid a dollar for each of these but there might be some good cards in these packs and I need to get them in the treasure chest anyway.
There are seven packs of topps 2012 series one baseball cards here and one pack of 2013 series one. I don't know if these will go very fast or not. Even if they don't they will appreciate in value as they age so I'm sure sooner or later someone will grab them as a bonus pull in a contest. If they sit in the chest for years I might just pull them and use them as automatic bonus packs to contest winners.
If you want to be eligible to win sealed packs of cards like these you need to be a member of my world community grid team. You can learn how to join and see some frequently asked questions here.

One Pack Of 2013 Topps Platinum Football Cards And One Pack Of 2010 Panini Crown Royal I'm Giving Away
The first pack is 2013 topps platinum. There are 5 cards in this pack and I feel that these are higher quality cards than your standard packs, not top shelf or anything but I'm sure this will go fast once it's up for grabs.
The second sealed football pack is one I won on a listia auction. It's a pack of 2010 panini crown royal football cards. These have a high chance of having relic and auto cards in them and the seller says this is a guaranteed relic card so who knows what might be in it. There are 5 cards in this sealed pack as well.
I don't have a contest ready to run yet but I have an interesting youtube project that will lead up to my first contest. I should have a post up about it in less than a week.
Learn more about what I'm doing in this post.

Here is a post with commonly asked questions about world community grid. You can find out most of what you want to know here. If you still have an unaswered question you can ask it in the comments there. I might even add your question to the post and update it.

4 Packs Of Score 2013 Football Cards And 2 Packs Of Topps Strata I'm Placing In The Treasure Chest
For this post we have four packs of Panini Score football cards from the 2013 season. There are twelve cards in each pack with a chance to pull rookie signatures.
Next up we have two packs of Topps Strata 2013 football cards. These are great cards and there are six individual cards in each sealed pack. Wouldn't it be great to pull a Geno Smith low numbered autograph card out of one of these packs? You might think it's possible to pull a card like that out of a reatail pack but I have seen it happen before.
If you want to try and win some of these cards in the near future all you have to do is follow the simple instructions below. This will only take a minute or two to set up.
First you need to run the world community grid disease research program. You can download it through this link.

Click this second link and join team Endthedisease. It's really that easy. Now just keep visiting this blog and wait for the next contest to begin.

8 Sealed Packs Of Topps 2012 Baseball Series One I Grabbed On Sale To Add To The Treasure Chest For Future Contest Pulls
I got these on sale at walmart a few months ago but I'm just now getting around to scanning them and putting them in the treasure chest. I know many of you will be moaning about buying retail packs at all and will be even less happy that these are in the bargain bin but I honestly don't think we have a lot of card searchers in my town. Even if we do there could still be some autographs in these and of course you still have rookie cards you can pull from opening these. I'm also just getting use to using my scanner. I had to reduce the size of this scan in order to save room for images on this blog. It's amazing how much detail you can see on a pack when you use the maximum setting on your scanner. You can really see how many hands have been touching these as they lay in the bargain bin. Still, the cards seem to be in good shape inside the packs to me. I always look to see if they look bent at all before I buy anything that's out in the open like these packs.
I will be adding lots of stuff to the treasure chest. Some packs will be high end and others will be middle of the road or even sales bin packs, remember though these will be used in the comment part of the contest but also as bonus prizes so they won't affect the quality of the world community grid or folding@home grid crunching prizes.
This link should at least give you a basic idea of what I'm trying to do. I will have my first contest coming soon so at the very least keep watching this blog for updates.

A 2012 Topps Football NFL Cards Hobby Box I Bought To Use As Prize Packs For Future World Community Grid Contests
I am totally crazy and I'm giving away some fairly expensive product before I get sent up to the nut house. I recently picked one of these 36 pack Hobby boxes up online to break open and use as prizes for future contests on my world community grid and folding@home teams. I paid about $100 for this and you can get it a little cheaper if you look around but this is about the standard price for your basic topps 2012 NFL 36 pack box. I believe this was the year topps messed up the numbering system on their card for this series and it made a lot of people angry but there are still some good cards here. You might even get to pull out an Andrew Luck card. There is one autograph or relic card guaranteed in each box and I have seen people pull more than that from these. You also get at least one rookie card in each pack but usually you will get two or more per pack. I'll probably be giving five packs away as a prize so that will mean at least 7 people that participate in my future world community grid and folding@home contests will get some of these sealed packs. I will not break this box until I'm ready to start mailing out the cards to the winners.
Here are some youtube videos of people opening this box or the same product so you can get an idea of what you might get.
This is a retail box but the same packs. You are guaranteed one rookie in every pack and she pulled multiples in almost every pack. She also pulled a gold parallel insert numbered 1469/2012 and a Jake Long commemorative patch. There were also many inserts and tons of Andrew Luck cards. Remember this was a 10 pack retail box and usually you get better cards in the larger hobby boxes.
Another retail value box break of 10 packs of Topps 2012 football NFL cards. Again we see rookie card overload here. We also have many inserts including a Jimmy Graham gold bordered card, a serial numbered military border Chicago bears team card and a DeAngelo Hall Washington Redskins
commemorative patch. These are all cards that you could just as easily pull from the packs I send you.
This guy bout five retail packs from target and still pulled a NaVorro Bowman gold border card and some inset cards.
Overall these are not bad cards. I like the format of these cards but I'm not a big fan of the photography. Still, you can pull some pretty neat stuff, lots of rookie cards are a big advantage when you end up with a lot of base cards. I also like the retro reprint cards. Remember that you want to win some of these packs you are going to have to participate in my grid crunching contests. Even if I'm not running one at the time you are reading this it's better to go ahead and join the team and start running the program so you will be prepared to compete when the time comes. Besides this program lets you do disease research on your home computer so it's like you are contributing to scientific knowledge just by sitting at home in front of your computer.
